This is Lucy Angel (named after the little girl who found and rescued her) She is roughly 10 months old. Angel was brought to us after being found dumped in a rusty hamster cage on top of a wheelie bin in Bidston. Poor little mite was rather skinny and withdrawn but with a little encouragement I am glad to report she came out of her shell and is a chubby, confident lass :D She stayed with us for roughly 9 weeks, time enough to access her behaviour and get her into shape : ) We introduced her to one of our older residents Brumby (on the right) and they worked out to be the perfect match.

They where rehomed with Danielle in November and are doing fab!! It just goes to show what a little love and caring can do.

This poor baby is Kitten. Named by us :) He was brought in along with 18 other rats after his owner got fed up with them 'constantly breeding'. Anyone with common sense would have seperated the males and females but no this fella thought it responsible to just keep groups in tiny hamster cages (pictured above) When he came to us Kitten and his friends were not very happy at all and in very poor condition. But with a little care he is on the mend! When it was decided his friends would go and live in Warrington with a friend who had space we decided to keep him. I would like to Thank all who helped. This is Kitten now :D

He still has scars but they are almost nearly healed and his back has completely healed over :D He is responding well to human interaction. We absolutely adore him and can't wait for him to be able to interact with other ratties again.

Some rats come to us in a really bad way, they have been neglected or mistreated, But some of our rats come from caring, kind loving homes who for whatever reason just don't have the time, space or ability to look after them anymore. When we take in ratties I try not to judge.. but when rats come in conditions such as Kitten .. I basically can't help myself.. I don't think anybody could.

These are some rescue and success stories. All different situations.. Please have a read.

Spider and Ozzy pictured above with new owner Jack, were brothers from a rescue litter. They have definitely found their happy ever after, Being adopted by Jo, Chris and Jack :) They are spoilt rotten and have settled in with the family amazingly. I am in touch and receive precious pictures all the time. It is lovely to be able to watch some of our rescues growing up with some amazing people!

Poppy and Primrose pictured above with Molly and George. Sisters from another rescue litter.. These are another two little'uns who have found their forever homes with Caroline, George and Molly. I absolutely adore receiving pics of happy children with happy ratties! They settled in great and have one of the best homes!
